Day-by-Day Itinerary
Airport transfer, hotel check-in, evening orientation dinner overlooking the harbor.
Full day boat trip to Rinca Island, Pink Beach, and Padar Island. Komodo dragon trekking and snorkeling.
Trek to the hidden canyon waterfall of Cunca Wulang. Swim in turquoise natural pools surrounded by jungle.
Scenic drive through the Flores highlands. Stop at Spider Web Rice Fields in Cancar. Visit Todo village.
Drive to Denge village and begin the 3-hour trek to the iconic cone-shaped village of Wae Rebo, a UNESCO-recognized site.
Sunrise in Wae Rebo, cultural ceremony with village chief, trek back down and return to Ruteng.
Visit Liang Bua cave (where Homo Floresiensis was discovered). Drive through stunning mountain scenery to Bajawa.
Full day exploring Bena and Gurusina traditional villages. Visit hot springs and enjoy views of Mount Inerie.
Drive north to Riung. Afternoon boat trip to the 17 Islands Marine Park for snorkeling and beach exploration.
Morning free time in Riung. Drive to Ende via coastal roads. Visit Ende Blue Stone Beach.
Explore Ende town (Sukarno exile house). Drive to Moni village at the base of Kelimutu.
Pre-dawn trek to Kelimutu for sunrise. Afternoon visit to nearby waterfalls and traditional weaving village.
Scenic drive to Maumere. Visit Sikka traditional weaving village. Explore Maumere waterfront.
Full day diving or snorkeling at Maumere Bay, known for its rich marine biodiversity and coral gardens.
Drive east along the coast. Visit Ile Mandiri hot springs. Arrive in Larantuka, the Portuguese colonial gateway.
Day trip to Adonara Island by local boat. Explore traditional villages and stunning coastal scenery.
Ferry to Lembata island. Visit the extraordinary Lamalera village where traditional whale hunting is still practiced.
Trek to Ile Ape volcano. Explore local markets and interact with Lembata communities.
Ferry back to Flores. Free afternoon in Larantuka to explore the old Portuguese quarter.
Return drive to Maumere with stops at local markets and viewpoints. Farewell dinner.
Free day for optional activities: diving, shopping for ikat textiles, or relaxing at the beach.
Transfer to Maumere airport for your onward flight. End of the Trans-Flores Expedition.
